Mobile App Game and Job Festival held in DU
After CUET, SUST and Begum Rokeya University of Rangpur, Mobile App Games and Job Festival of ICT Division started in Dhaka University. The day-long festival featured motivational workshops, innovation idea presentations, quiz competitions, animation movies, raffle draws and CV submission opportunities for job aspirants.
Ranjan Roy Bappi of BUET won the best prize in the idea competition by presenting the smart lab concept at the event. Dhaka University student Asif Zardari and European Union Bangladesh University student Jannatul Ferdous came second and third.
Professor Rabeya Sultana, Chairman of the Faculty of MIS, inaugurated the festival at the Business Studies Faculty Auditorium of the University on Thursday afternoon.
During the welcome speech, the Dean of Business Studies Faculty of Dhaka University Dr. Mohammad Abdul Moin said that the digital infrastructure of Bangladesh is not lagging behind any developed countries in the world. Therefore, he urged to use this opportunity to lead the world.
Techno Magic CEO Arif Muhammad and Prolensor Studio CEO Sohel Muhammad Rana presented the keynotes on separate topics at the event.
It was informed at the event that the mobile game industry has become a 300 billion dollar market in the world this year. By 2030 it will reach about 529 billion dollars. Techno Magic has the advantage of all kinds of gaming engines to game publishing to make the youth of Bangladesh qualified in this sector. And gaming is not art. It is the foundation of artistic animation and programming. If you do animated work, you can earn 10,000 dollars from home in seven days. For this, a very high quality laptop or hardware and software are not an obstacle.
Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Director of Mobile Apps and Games Project presided over the session while the Chief Vocalist of the Chirkoot Band, Sharmin Sultana Sumi spoke on People's Training and Technology.
